ok, I asked about these a while back and the main advice was about the casting problem. When you throw them, they just flip side to side, or end over end. One in every 10 casts or so, they will cast correctly.
With that said, I dont really consider them a deep cranking bait...they will be good for wanting a bigger presentation, maybe for a bigger bite. I just dont think you can cast them out far enough to reach, 12-14ft and stay there.
They might peak at 12ft, and then start coming back up due to the length of the cast. They can be utilized, but not as a deep crank.
OK, with that said, someone mentioned drilling a very small hole in the body and adding some lead shot bb's in it. I was just wondering if anyone has done this successfully, and if so how much did you add?

ive never had any issues with the H20 deep diving cranks. I can cast them a country mile and have never thought of drilling anything to add weight.

I've had te same experience with them myself, but then again, I have this issue with all deep divers I've ever tried

When I throw them they don't fly in any aero dynamic way, the spin head over heel and it takes away distance.

18 lead bb's, like in a bird shot shell? Or are you talking about bb's you would put in a bb gun?
I would want it to be as heavy as I could get it without it sinking.

like for a bb gun. I Think that they are copper. it always depends on the water temp too though. It will vary just a tad.

I like the H2O's but not the deep divers....for those I usually buy DD's...I havent had the problem that yall have but I'm not exactly sure why I just think the DD's feel and look a littel better than the H2O's...
