Since the other granger crappie thread has been "kidnapped" by folks planning on Georgetown fishmen, I want to start this new thread.
Did you anyone fish Granger lately? How did it turn out? I stopped going to Granger about 1.5 months ago when the lake turned over and I got skunked twice. I suppose the lake has settled down now and the crappies should form a new pattern.
Any recent report?

Put in at Taylor Park and went up the river with a friend on the 17th. Water was the murkiest I've ever seen at Granger. Cleared up at the mouth of the San Gabriel though. Found lots of shad, but no fish.

anyone know when the granger crappie usually start moving shallow? I am sick of going out and getting skunked but I don't want to miss them when they come back in

I went to Fox park yesterday on 28th. I fished the dock. My portable fish finder found only one fish and I caught it, a 6" crappie.
The water was murky and seemed to me the turnover has not settled down yet. I left for the dam and got 3 carps there.

went out yesterday, bite was a little slow but they are definatelly back. Caught 5 keepers and several small ones. One older gentleman was catching lots of medium sized ones (7"-10") on a long rod with 3 jigs on it. fishing in the hole in the dock at fox park
