Was it just me, or was it just that tough on RR Saturday?

Was only able to catch 1 keeper and a couple of dinks. Fished the whole gamut of baits with no takers. Fished the flooded grass & then pulled back to the previous break line....no results. Fished creek backs & main points. Then I went finesse the last hour and managed to get bit a couple of times.

I suspect that the combination of a high pressure & the dropping water level had something to do with it.

I have never had any luck on that lake, said what the hell on Saturday went on up, Knowing i have to figure it out for Media next year. The bite was slow but i had my best day ever.Between two of us, seven fish five keepers largest about 3 lbs.

It was not you. Combination of high pressure, lake three feet high, and discharge of 1,400 cfs. The Wednesday night championship: 2 teams weighed two fish and two teams weighed 1 fish. Caught one fish on RR yesterday and fished Lewsiville this morning and caught over 20 fish...go figure.

It was tough/ I had one keeper on a drop shot in 20 ft- main lake point- one of those 2 fish boats were spots

Nope, not just you. I only put a few spots in the boat for the weekend. I heard the flood gates were open at around 2'....I'm going to try some more this coming week .....looks to be nice weather.

Fished Grapevine with two renowned jig fisherman on Saturday. A jigs only fishing trip, just for fun. We caught two fish in 6+ hours. VERY tough. So it wasn't just RR.

Sorry to say, but I'm glad to hear that it wasn't just me. Sounds like it sucked all over north Texas this weekend.

Today RR was on... well this am till about 10 then after about 3:30. 1 this am and 1 this pm over 5#. 7 total bass... and the sandies...... on today and yesterady too big time.

Guess Sunday was the day to go. How bout them Cowboys. Ray Bob was tough Saturday.

Ray Roberts has been tough on me all year. I live 15 minutes from it and fish it approx 3 times a week. This year just plain sucked on RR. However i went to Bridgeport for the first time on Sunday. Caught 9 in about 4 hrs, one over, 6 under and two in the slot.

Jbragg and Westcoastslammer are starting up a new bass club- the tournament is on Bridgeport, out of Wise county park, Sat the 7th- blast off at safe light

I talked to Dannie Golden and he said he and some customers had 12 Friday morning including an 8.9. He sent a picture to me and I am sure he will post it in his report when he gets back from Arkansas. The Saturday fishing sounded like it was about the same for them minus the 8.9.
