then we told the guy we were loading up and going back to the house. he asked why ?
we told him we seen a guy pulling up a rope with a cage and loading up some big bass into his livewell and we wernt going to compete against cheaters.
we never told what kind of boat or who it was
later that week we found out they had cancelled the tournament
and all fish were released on the spot.
With all due respect sir, I belive it is your responsiblity as a competetive angler to report the activity at least to your tournament director, as well as your local game warden (800 792 GAME). The only way we are going to get rid of these cheaters is to let them know that everybody is watching, and everbody is willing to do their part to weed them out of the tournament ranks.
I personally have caught a cheater "Slime Handed", and at the time I did not report the activity to the tournament director.
Instead I confronted him myself, and lets just say nobody has seen him around in a while. However, I belive the best course of action if you are absloutley sure that a person is cheating is to blow the whistle.
I would have been more than a little upset if I had caught some hawgs (like the orginal poster has in his picture), and then was forced to release them and had my entry fee refunded. I don't think the TD would have called off weigh in if he knew whos sack to DQ.
Sorry for the hijack, but we really need to do our part.
Nice PK bass by the way! I'm SUPER excited to see that the lake is back to its former glory!
