Thanks guys. Jon, I haven't got a name for the boat yet. I might in the future, I will see how she acts first. I would prefer to heat the bracket if anything needs to be heated. If I mess up that paint, I will have a fit...rotfl. It is something to consider though. I am glad people like the boat job. It is amazing to me, how it has progressed. When I first got it I didn't think I could get it to look this good. It is a perfect boat for my son and I.

I also have a new light base receptacle on the boat. (two pin light) I could not get the light to click in right though. I was afraid if I pushed further it would break. Can those who mess around with this stuff tell me if I should expect a click when it goes in? I pushed it pretty hard, but was afraid to push further for fear of breaking the receptacle. I guess this is really a question for the boat forum.

I guess it depends on the type but the ones I have used have a plastic ring a few inches from the end. When you plug the light in you have to screw the plastic ring down onto the base and that holds the light in. No click involved.

yes, mine must be different, I couldn't see anything like a place to screw the light in...it looked like you just push it in...I did that but the light was wobbly...so I knew I didn't get it in right

I had 3 of those erasers and decided to see if they worked...they do. I did the outside of the boat, and it looks much better. I did some on the inside too. The dang bees kept bothering me though. I think the bees are mad it is time for them to hibernate. Anyway, I am thrilled about getting that stuff off. There is something else on there now, and it is causing some strange streaks in the pain. I hope it isn't the cleaning that has done that. There is also some type of dried tree sap on a couple of areas. Does anyone know what gets off tree sap WITHOUT hurting the paint? I need to get this entirely clean and re-waxed asap.
