LAKE LIMESTONE in central Texas! Notice how no one else mentioned it. That's why I like it. No crowds, no boat traffic, plenty of standing timber and lots of nice crappie. I've even fished on Saturdays when I didn't see another boat for an hour at a time. I can get to Richland Chambers just as fast and it does have some pretty good crappie fishing, but that thing is like an ocean sometimes. I guess my third choice would be CC, but it's a little crowded on the weekends for me.

Well do I need to do the tally to find out the most popular lake or do we have a volunteer. There has to be someone at work that can get paid for this right?

I think Cedar Creek used to be more popular. But with gas prices and with the bite being slow. I think most are staying close to home. I usually just stay at home with my daughter.

I think what David said about gas prices hits the nail on the head for a lot of folks.

Bridgeport, Ray Roberts, sometimes Eagle Mountain, but if it wasn't so far, I would rather fish Palestine.
