Belton would be great later in the year, but I don't want to fish that lake in the winter. Bastrop will still have schooling fish and spawning fish in January. Nobody should have to really work to catch fish. Like I've said not trying to have an extremely competitive tournament, but more of a fun tournament. Thus is why I had local clubs, but any club is welcome.

Not in the College fishing scene but Centex had a good idea with Fayette...it fishes just as good if not alot better the time of year your talking about for your tourney and it is a bigger lake if you have to many teams for 'Strop

You could do the format of the college Open next year, teams with one team just get their weight doubles/tripled to match the others

fayette is a bigger lake, but bastrop has more of what i would call fishin area. fayette is big, but it is all big and wide open. id rather go to bastrop. and i second the idea of just making it a fun time....lets not get caught up in rules, make it simple and easy IMO. if it falls on the right days, and we go to bastrop, ill bring my camper to stay in. for sure. i doubt u will get too big for either lake bastrop or fayette though.

Currently I have A&M, McLennan Community College, Baylor, Friends College in Kansas, UT and Texas State. Still trying to figure out a way to let schools with only one team fish. If anybody has an idea let me know. Schools with one team kinda eliminates the club idea, but realize some clubs only have one team. u could have a single team division if u want, i mean does it really matter.... and the more i think about it, fayette is just a good a choice as bastrop, except u might have more trouble catchin bass outside of the slot.

If the single team has the biggest bag of the day and we double it they win. I'm wanting it to be the best club. 2 different weights by two teams for the best club.

You guys should make it a two day tourney with 1 day on on Bastrop & 1 day on Fayette. Just an idea!

The problem with fayette is the slot. That 14-24 can be tough!
