It's beautiful guys, you will not be disappointed. I saw some big big fish this past weekend, I will be heading down that way again next weekend.

It's 205 miles from Dallas to Sid's Fly Shop.

You'd have to drive 82 miles an hour, the ENTIRE TIME, and NEVER get stuck behind a truck or take a gas or pee break,

to get there in 2.5 hrs.

You must have a lot of cop friends. Sorry, pet peeve of mine is when people claim driving times well under reality.

Wooo a formula

I can get a toe out my front door into the sand at Texoma in an hour, using the LHD formula.

Best got dang formula ever !

And screw the formula for tying your own leaders. Buy Tapers !

Unless you are wearing a grass skirt and sleeping in a ditch and eating only road kill, you too are part of 'the problem'.

2.5 hrs from my house to the park entrance, and I'm in Rockwall, 20 miles east of Dallas. Went there 3 weeks ago, before the gates opened...

That's a nice sized spotted bass, but someone from the Okie department of wildlife needs to find out what the cause of that skin disorder is. Colors like them just ain't natcheral.

Dave, I was told there would be no math, much less a story problem.

Yup. One of the first myths of Broken Bow is the distance. It's 200 door to park entrance - from Denton. These guys that say they've gotten there from Dallas in 1-1/2 hours must have driven through a time change.

Reminds me of the Tunica MS casinos which opened back when I was in the Holy City of Memphis. They were only "35 minutes from Memphis." Unfortunately, it took me 45 minutes to get to that 35 minute point.

i make the trip there 3-4 times a week.... im 32 years old and im sure i can tell time. i have a watch, a cell phone, and a clock in my truck.... they all say the same time. so, if it takes you longer than 2.5 hours to get there, you obviously live farther than you think...? i live 164 miles away -divide that by 70 miles an hour and you get 2.34 hours. and i do go over the limit sometime times by 5 miles an hour to make up for the small towns you have to slow down for. i go through Bonham/Paris/then Idabel.

i always leave the river at 8 pm and get home right around 1030pm...... so if you still have a pet peeve with that, drive up there with me and ill show you the way.

- i dont stop to pee ever on road trips until im out of gas
- i fill up with gas before i leave so i do not have to stop. one tank of gas gets me to the river and back to my house.
