Now this could be true in freshwater because they cant breed in freshwater and have to be brought in. But saltwater FALSE

Fairfield, Tradinghouse Creek, Calaveras & Braunig mostly they were stocked in other power plant lakes in earlier years.

You can look through this stocking list by year and specie

Red Drum or redfish....scientific name sciaenops ocellatus.
Ocellatus means eye-like spots referring to spots on the caudal fin (tail)

Sharks along the beach front love to feed on reds....the spots trick them into attacking the tail and the reds scoot away.
