Anybody still fish here? I remember when I was young, I had kinfolk that would just slay the crappie there. That was early '60's.

Is this a secret spot or dead hole? No posts makes me wonder.

Yes I am. I had kin that lived in and around south Dallas. They fished Lemmon lake in the late fifties early sixties.

The last time I fished there was in the 80's. I might try to go and see if there is still water there. We used to catch big crappie from Lemmon Lake.

Lemmon Lake used to be a private lake. Members use to pay 150.00 a year to be a part of the membership. The owner actually sold it to the city. Thats when it went down.

I fished that lake in 1981, all year. Had to pay $100 for a year's membership to fish it. The docks were pretty run down even back then, but the fishing was not bad. Lots of small crappie, and some decent bass. Enough to satisfy my fishin' fever, since I had no boat or access to any farm ponds in those days.

I did a little research via internet and it looks like Lemmon and Little Lemmon lakes are now part of the Joppa Preserve project. Maybe Dallas will make it public again.

Okay, I grew up in Oak Cliff and I have no idea where this lake is. Is it near Mountain Creek?
Never mind. I just looked it up on the internet. It's on the opposite end of O.C.
