I'm looking for the ones they come equipped with a heavy wire hook or steel hook. I have a hard time with the light wire hooks straighting out either because i set the hook to hard or the drag was too tight or some other reason.

I think Joey Deans (SpitNFire) has one. I use his finess jigs all the time and they are not light wire hooks. I do not think I have bent one yet. Of course I have not caught any 15 Lbers on EM yet... Here is his description and a link... Finesse fishermans Jig, comes in 3/16 and 5/16 ounce sizes. 4/0 hooks in both sizes for better hookups. Round Ball Head with Mustad Ultra Point Hooks. Trailer Keeper molded onto hook shank. 60 strand Silicone skirts. SpitNFire Finese Jig

IMO a good finesse jig should be light wire for easy hook sets with lite line. My favorites are made by Zipper bait company.

Jewel Bait Company. Without a doubt, the 5/16 Eakins jig is one of the most popular finesse jigs on the market. And for good reason. www.JewelBait.com

I don't always throw jigs but, when I do I prefer Black Angel. Would like to try some of those SpitNFire jigs too though.

Ditto on Joey's jigs. My best luck has been with the camo and the PBJ finesse

I have two favorites. In still water (lakes and ponds), I use the Eakin's Jig. It is the most consistant jig that I have used from 3' down to the majical 8' - 10' range. The Texas Craw is the best color for the clear waters of South Texas. In moving waters (rivers, creeks and streams) I use the Booyah Bed Bug. I fish a lot of chunk rock and rip rap, and I've never broken off this particular jig. I've tried other jigs and they get hung and break off in the rip rap. The dual skirt gets the best action; escpecially when dead sticking. Love the Phantom Craw and Tiger Craw colors. Give 'em a try!!

jewel's are really good, just watch out for the jigs smaller than 5/16 cause the hooks get weaker... jewel has some awesome colors though
