This week was a good week to be on CC. The lake is falling fast and the water temp is in the high 80's now. Most all the fish are atleast 15ft deep with the exception of early and late in the day. They are still biting jigs but minnows will work best for the nonexperienced jig fisherman. With that being said I got outfished for the first time in a long time on Thursday. The little boy in the picture was using minnows and he did pretty well. Betwen him and his grandfather fishing minnows thay caught 2 for every one I caught. I havent had that happen in a long time. Normally it's the minnow fisherman wanting a jig when I out fish them! Here are a few pictures of the trips I did. Sat Morning trip saturday pm Trip/ we could have caught over 100, they were biting at the first stop we made and we never left. We even took a swim break. Friday pm trip Thursday pm trip, First crappie

But we all know Chuck is 100 times better a fisherman/guide than a picture taker. Keep those pictures comin' Chuck. It makes me try to recall how much I actually had to drink last night.

Good job, Chuck. I may visit HOGHUNTR (he's mainly in the bass forum) who lives on the lake here in the next week or two. He says he's found some good hybrid/sandbass grounds since I last went down there. Says his condos are still "so-so" for crappie and that by 11 am...it's time to get off the lake! Being a weatherman, yeah, it's been darn toasty the past week n half. Looks like we may slightly cool more toward "normal" by the weekend and after. By the way, I like the little girl's hat in the second picture. --Eric AgAlum93'

I was out this evening and the surface water temp was 91 right at dark. It was dead calm all over the lake. I fished for a bit and found some fish. I found them on my jig when I reeled them up Actually they were at the same place they have been the last few weeks
