I have a 4wt signature series TFO, had it for 3 years or so. The reel seat was giving me some grief the last couple months, and I had thought about sending it in . Yesterday, while fishing up near Oklahoma, I broke the tip off, and I was pissed. I had driven quite a ways to fish this spot, and 20 minutes in, I break the dang thing. So I drove back to Dallas, and thought I'd call TFO in the morning.

I called them at 9:00 this morning and told them I wanted to drop it off, thinking they would send me a new one for $25 handling fee. I was prepared to pay it. I left the office at 11:30, and 20 minutes later I'm standing in the TFO warehouse. They never asked my name, never even asked what happened. This kid grabs my broken rod, throws it in the trash, and hands me a brand new one. I was shocked. He says "better luck with this one, and off I go.

Less than an hour door to door, and a brand new TFO 4wt signature series in hand. Impressive to say the least, and it didn't cost me a penny.

I'll stick with these guys, they got it together.

yeah they are awesome! I had a western series that I broke the reel seat off of and they gave me a professional as a replacement.

Dads, jeez they do the dumbest things...

Oh, I am one, and yes I do the dumbest things. Glad to hear your 2wt was taken care of. I have not heard anyone tell a bad story about the TFO warranty.

Unfortunately for me I have broken everyone's share of TFO rods and they still take care of me. Plus they make a pretty good rod for the price.

If you live close by their place, it is a fantastic deal. Sounds like they took care of you. With stories like that, no wonder they sell the crud outta some rods!!!

I've been testing their Axiom this month, and I've got to tell you this one impressive fly rod! You could spent twice the money and get half the rod...a lot of places. I've decided to buy a 3, 5, and 8...my "go to" line weights.

If you haven't cast one of these, do yourself a favor and your significant other a dirty deed. LOL

AGREED the Axiom is a cannon.
When not tossing big bugs on my favorite Mini-Mag, the 6wt Axiom is my go to rod.

My other rods are lonely now because I bought that 6-wt Axiom. Best equipment money I've spent, hands-down.

Ken and Jack, have you tested the new 6-8 (200-300gr) Mini-Mag?
I prefer it over the Axiom 8wt.

I know JackMack has been in the boat with a Mini Mini Mag, but I don't think he casted it. He did cast the 300-400 grain version though, I made sure of that. smile

Here's one we all agree on, the 6 wt Axiom is a great rod. We'll have one with us in McKinney on 11/14 if anyone wants to cast it.
