That's a good question, I think there might be a dusk to dawn curfew at Trinity park just because it's city property...maybe someone else could chime in here about the rest of the river.

I struck out again today at Marine Creek Lake, Lake Worth Bridge @820...and Fossil Creek. I fished from about 11:00 am til around 4:00PM,,not even a bite. I sure hope next weekend is better. What were you mainly fishing for and what were you using?

Mainly Bass, but I have been known to catch other stuff along the way. I only use Lures.

I have been eyeballing a stretch of water (Clear Fork?)that runs under the bridge at 183/southwest blvd and Ridglea Country Club Dr. Look promising, anyone got any info for this creek? That's really close to my house and I'll fly fish there from time to time if I feel like i need to get out. I've caught carp, bass, and perch out of there. The fishing is better upstream of the spillway to the bridge. I've had the most luck fishing on the west bank where a drainage pipe comes in. There's some branches under water that they like to hide near. If you go out you'll see some big carp rising. But with the water level this high, it's gonna be tough to fish there...plus the atmospheric pressure is all out of whack. If you ever want to go out there send me a pm and i'll join ya.

Excellent catches Anton! Blue cat, drum, flathead; would that be an urban slam?

Thanks for the offer, will give you a holler someday...it just looks like a really fishy spot to me. Any tips on fishing here will be appreciated. This high water is making it difficult to fish any where from the bank right now. I'll be hitting up the Trinity river tomorrow morning. (Sunday) I'll probably be very close to the bridge at University dr and I30 or near one of the spillways right behind Pappadeaux/Pappasitos If anyone sees me out there, stop by and say hi! =-}

The trout stockings in the Trinity mibht be soon. Both Tarrant County and state (TPWD) do stickings in different rivers and ponds, but there are xome big trout put into the trinity in Ft worth -- down by University Dr and I think the Greensomething park. Google (or search on tff) to find links listing stocking dates and places. Get there fast, they go fast. Also on the trinity, the cormorants start stripping them out pretty fast.

As for bass, try roadrunners -- people forget how those little spinners work for bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill. Not sure if they work for trout, but maybe.
