I brought out the ColorClector last year. Bought it several years ago and just stumbled on to it cleaning out the shop. I took it with me in the spring and summer a few times. The fish were biting when I took it, just wanted to see if I could see a big difference. It actually seemed to me that I did worse when I used the suggested colors. The thing read pretty constant each time I took it out, and I would check the depth of water where I was catching fish. Wondering if anyone else has had luck (good or bad) with one of these units?

My dad used to have one of those (it's probably still there in his garage somewhere). He would pull that thing out and it would say to use some strange color, which he would. My brother and I would use whatever color we liked at the time and I don't think it ever really gave my dad any advantage.

Jimmy Houston pushed that device pretty hard back in the 80's. Notice he hasnt mentioned it in years.

I think you need to try several colors and once you succeed stick with it. 2 cents.

By gosh, I had one of those things YEARS AGO. It only gave me something to do when I wasn't catching fish. Ha

I had one, never could figure out how a piece of black wire could tell you what color to use. Mine is lost in the storage boxes somewhere, forever.
