Didn't do any good today drifting, I never got any fresh shad to drift with, I caught some small 3" threadfins, but no big gizzards, they are letting a bunch of water out and the lake is dropping pretty fast, we had the tourney today and there were some nice fish caught in the shallows, but nobody did very good drifting!!!
If they close the gates it will help, but if they don't good luck, but if you can get some good bait, they might turn on for you!!!

Go to willow grove park and throw around the pier for sheer numbers of shad. A few medium gizzards, but lots of hooker gizzards. One well aimed throw will get you more than you can use. If you must have large gizzards go down the way to Arrowhead park and throw the boat ramps. Not tons of shad, but what you do get avg. 8 inches. If you throw on all the ramps (don't forget the old ones) you should have plenty of large heads to bounce around the lake with. I was at both parks today so info is very current.
