I just got my boat out of the shop because it would not start. Took it to the lake and now it will not come out of forward. I have never worked on an out board motor before but I imagine that I could handle it. I took the shift cable off and moved it manualy but nothing changed any ideas and is this something that an average joe could handle or do I need to take it in. It is a '92 (?) 60 hp Johnson. Thanks for any information I am about ready to shoot it.

Take it back to the shop who screwed up your shift adjustment, assuming it shifted Ok before you took it in.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.
