The glove box in my boat has a broken plexiglass cover. It is just 2 pieces of flat plexiglass joined at a 30 degree angle. I super glued it while it was still attached to the glove box so that I have the correct angle. I then removed the cover that is now back in one piece. I need to apply something to the underside at the joint to keep it together. Anyone done this before with any success?

Get a new one or take the old one to a plexiglass place and have them cut one out for you.

I would like to get a new one but have had a hard time tracking one down for a 94 Javelin. Have also called some plexiglass places and they said they would have to make a mold for it.

I thought about a hinge.

Aluminum angle would possibly work.

I found this on another site: Depending on the type of fracture it is, a product called methyl acetate(spelling could be wrong) can repair plexiglass. You should be able to get it at your local glass shop. Try it on something else before you put it on your boat to see how it will flow!

Also found this one: "Weld-on-3 is Mythelenecloride (spelling) which actually melts the parts
back together.

Tom,

Too late in your process to use the weld on 3, it is used as you used the superglue. You might get a fiberglass repair kit, one used to repair automobile damage, and put a strip or two on either side of the repaired joint.
