Hi,
I read in Thurday's Tyler Morning Telegraph(Oct. 22,09) paper that Lake Palestine has a New Lake Record Largemouth Bass. It weighed over 14 lbs. Does anybody know any details?

Just did a search on the paper's website and found nothing.....'cept my alma mater is 1-5 on the season. Yet the O-line is avg'ing 6.3 YPC on the ground. Time to find a QB with an arm I guess.

It was a Hybrid, and was a record in some special program, and not as I understand, the true lake body record. The lake record is 14 and change, but I personally have witnessed 2 over 16 taken by one of the most avid fishermen on the lake. Many of you know the old dude, and out of respect for his privacy, I will not mention his name. When asked why he didn't get them certified(as he threw them back), he said" that is just a piece of paper". Anyway, the story of a 14 lb bass is true, it just has more stripes than the species micropterus salmoides,LOL. Hope this clears up any more hype. STEVE T

Okay, thats still a HUGE fish. I still wouldnt be suprised if we see a SAL out of there next spring. I saw one that I think was around 13+ in Kicappp in March during the FOM tourney, she wasnt locked on anything and was cruising. She could be a 15lber next year. We'll see a big un this next spring

I've fished enough with MadAngler to know that if he says it was 13+ it was every bit of 8 lbs. LOL!

First of all....gotta's PB is like 2.75lbs, and secondly I got my glasses from Ragsdale & Martin, so no problem there. If I say it was 13 it was...well, maybe....could have been about 10, j/k. Yall know the beast lerk in that skinny water!
