How many anglers on here reel with their left hand?

I changed over a few years ago and never looked back. Solved most of my elbow problems I had, and It is ALOT more efficient.

I reel lefthanded. thats just how i have always done it.. and i cant set the hook with my left arm well.

Same here, i watched my dad use his left hand and just learned to do it that way. I asked him one time why he used his left hand when he was right handed. He said it didnt make sense to cast with your right hand and then switch the real to your left hand to start reeling. I guess it makes sense. Comes natural to me after all these years. Plus none of my friends want to use any of my rods and reels.

Made the switch once in the early 90's - seemed too weird so it did'nt last. Switched again a couple of years ago and all my rigs are lefties now. Glad I made the effort as it is more efficient and it has positioned me to catch more fish.

It looks so unnatural to watch a right handed person cast with his right hand, switch the reel to their left hand & start reeling with their right when frankly most fish bites come on the initial drop of your presentation. Imho as a left reeling angler.

Well it's nice to see that there are at least a few lefty's out there.

That's why I taught myself to throw with my left hand.

I like to flip & pitch left handed but just can not get the feeling right when throwing a moving bait.

It is much more efficent but just does not feel right.

I am left handed but use right handed reels. They are perfect for me. I never have to switch over.

I'm a lefty. I use right hand reels. I cast with my left.no hand switching

I fish my spinning reels left handed but my baitcasters are right handed.
