A good boat name is to name the boat after your girlfriend/mistress. That way the wife would never suspect anything cause she wouldn't think her husband would be careless enough to name the boat after his mistress. Or maybe name it after a past girlfriend.

My uncle named his boat after his mistress. He takes her out on the boat when he is not with his wife and kids so that's why.

Speaking of my aunt, a friend of hers called her to tell her that my uncle was with some woman at a restaurant close to the house. And my aunt got in her car and drove there and caught my uncle in the parking lot with another woman driving his truck just as they were leaving the restaurant. And my aunt yelled at her through the window but she drove off and my aunt got caught with something and when that woman drove off she dragged my aunt and she got her arms bruised and got all scratched up. So she's not too happy and my uncle is kind of in trouble with my aunt right now.

But anyways I think that classic names and fun names are cool to name a boat too.

Like something classic like Miss Jane or Lady Marie can be nice. But maybe boring to some people so something funny and edgy would be more the way to go.

I have seen boats here with names like "Fist Full O' Dollars" and "Mufasa" and names like that.

Master Baiter is kinda funny.

Or something fun like "Haulin' A$$" or "Sugar Daddy" or something sounding like that can be fun.

I guess it just depends on the personality of the person.

I'm a firm believe in naming a boat after your wife/girlfriend/significant other. My wife was really pleased when I named the "Miss T". It helps when I want to spend more time and money on the boat.

That's fine and dandy until you change wives or girlfriends. bang

My wife would be ticked if I named my boat after my girfriend.

I will admit that when I suggested naming your boat after your wife/girlfriend/significant other, I assumed that there would be only one person classified in those roles. I humbly suggest that if "wife/girlfriend/significant other" refers to more than one person...you have bigger problems than picking a name for your boat.

Hey, if frequent changes in wife/girlfriend/significant other might lead to repainting your boat you might investigate those movable letters that just slide into a track.

I've had the same wife (and no girlfriends) for much longer than I've ever owned a boat. 25 years as of this past Monday.

Cheers,

Well Oldfrog, look at it this way. At least you didn't have a tattoo of her name on your arm and changing a boat name is a lot easier than changing a tattoo of her name on you. I don't have a tattoo of anything on me but if I did I would much rather have to change a boat name than a tattoo, heh heh.

Or I guess try to date girls with similar names like Laura, Lauren, Laurel. That's way it's only a matter of changing a letter or two.

I have a buddy that named his boat after his dog. He has gone through 4 wives in the past 10 years. So he told me, "I may have had a bunch of wives but at least I'll have the same dog till she dies." So his philosophy was just to name his boat after his dog he's had since she was a puppy.
