No need for a boat this time of year. iv'e been catching limits.Keying in on rip rap when presented with low lake levels. And wadeing is a good option on other lakes. Hopefully you'll have your boat redy for the post spawn. I think post spawn is the best time to catch numbers.

That is sad news, Sharon. Surely someone will offer you a backseat fishing spot. If not, there should be some great bank fishing spots right now.

When crappie are spawning at one lake near me I never take my little boat anyway, I agree with the rest as it's best from the bank then.
I never figued out all of y'all who buy those pricey bass boats anyway. Here you fish from the bank for years casting out up to 60 feet from shore... then save up enough money or get a loan to buy a real nice boat..... launch it and get out on the water and where do ya go ???? Sixty feet from shore and cast towards the bank ????

4 out of 5 voices in my head say call in sick and go fishing !

MrClyde...

Reasons:
- flexibility
- more privacy as it has become on some banks impossible to get away from those that crowd you at the bank
frown mad
- some spots have no access from the bank
- I love my boat! I don't have a big fancy expensive boat

Sharon, I hope you get back on the water sooner than that, this time of year is too good to be wasted. Maybe Jerry will get you fixed and back on the water. thumb
