WE figured there would be some conversation by some of you who attended the TTBC on Conroe. From the lack of conversation we would think no one was there.

I was there yesterday and really had a good time. Toyota and PAA really can put together a great event. It seemed classy from top to bottom. I am not trying to be disrespectful here or offend anyone but I think the lake choice hurt them.

This board is predominately a north texas fishing board so I'm not surprised. There have been a few posts about the TTBC but nothing like there would have been if it were in North Texas where most of the memebers are from.

I have to disagree with Mark I think Conroe is a very good choice for a pro tournament, if it was easy , anyone could do it. Conroe is #4 on the share lunker program big bass are caught here , not much cover, you have to be able to fish stucture

I've been a trucker for yrs so haven't been able to fish as much as i'd like , but i'm trying to learn. My son goes with me , so that is cool,he is trying to learn also, we both want to become better fisherman.

I was not referring to the lake in the way it fishes but rather getting there to the lake. I45 is a pain in the butt and as I headed home last night at around 8:00PM traffic was still backed up coming out of Houston almost all the way to Madisonville. Getting there was just as bad. Also the dates may hurt attendance with so many Texas trails still having championships, Texas-OU weekend up the road in Dallas, and the start of hunting season just days away. I saw a much greater ratio of trucks pulling ATVs and blinds than vehicles that had any type of fishing paraphenalia or decals on board. Logistically it is a nightmare for those coming by car from out of town.

If our dang hotel had internet access, I would have posted everyday. Super 8 didn't have it. The only thing that hurt this tournament was the cold front. Ticket sales reached over 10,000. I was paired with KVD the first day and Rick Morris today. Had a really nice time and thank Tim very much for the opportunity.

At the launch Saturday morning they announced CBS would have coverage.
Haven't been able to find any TV coverage. Anyone know what network and time they are covering the tournament?

I was there all day yesterday. Had a great time. Not a lot of fish caught. Sean Hoernke had a 9-8 and moved from 45th up to a tie for 7th. biffle moved from 35th with a 19+ stringer to 5th. He also had a 7-7. Van Dam had a little over 4 pounds. It was very tough. Very few 10 pound stringers. conroe kicked their bass.

Here are the ten fishing today and the weights:

Dave Lefebre 36.12
Todd Auten 31-4
Andy Montgomery 30-12
Chad Morgenthaler 30-0
Aaron Martens 29-0
Tommy Biffle 29-0
Sean Hoernke 27-0
Jason Christie 27-0
Tim Horton 27-0
clark Wendlant 26-12

Going back out today.

Will be shown on CBS on Nov. 10th. They did not post the time.

Jack

They crashed their remote controlled helicopter camera into a power line near the IHOP on 105 while trying to film Tommy Biffle. It put the power out to at least the IHOP and came pretty close to hitting Biffles Boat.

I was there too Friday and Sat...I went out with Sean Hoernke on Friday he worked his bass off to get the 9lbs 4oz he got that day too...Sean was great guy and I learned a ton of stuff from him...On Sat I went out with Takahiro Omori and that was a treat! TO is a really nice guy that explains everything he is doing and why...That remote control helicopter that they crashed today was around us Sat and that thing was a little scary too. Taka did not like it either...As far as the event it was great and I had a ton of fun and learned some really good stuff from the pros...I bet what I learned will win me some $$$ this year...

It will never be lake Fork but from the weights these guys caught may as well fish fork since all the tourneys are for dinks only LOL!!!!!!!!! If you hit Conroe right she will pump out a 25 to 30 pound stringer in a hurry come down Feb or March those are the good days.

Why is it that all the Lake Fork lovers have to hate on every other lake in TX...I just don't get it, Fork is a great lake but it is not the greatest lake of all time...I am not sure that anyone could say that for sure...but why hate on all other lake that are not Fork...Best big fish lake I have ever fished is Falcon but that is just me.
