I have not been yet, but my neighbor caught a bunch of really nice crappie a few weeks back (before the water came up some). He was way back in the creek on the West side of six mile bridge. It is so narrow back there my pontoon will not even get back there. He also caught some in a brush pile in a different creek in some 12-14' of water.

How is the water level in the six mile area. Is it safe to run in the boat lanes?

It's still pretty low and some of the boat lane buoys have been moved so it's still a little bad if you don't really know where you are going.
Another 2 feet up and it will be better, but the SRA needs to come reposition some of the buoys.
I keep the boat lane (and other places I go frequently) marked in my GPS.

The crappie on Toledo Bend are stagging for the spawn and have moved into the creeks. All the reports that I have got say they are stacked in 14-18 feet of water suspended in the 8-12 feet range.Mark Robinson Toledo Bend guide is posting daily limits for his clients. With several fish going over 2 pounds. I know a lot of guides seem to say that the fish are always on. I have found Mark to be reliable with his information.Everytime he says it's hot and heavy we go and he is always right.

Caught a few on White Oak Creek Wednesday at Indian Mounds Campground. Nice sized - here's the post in the the photos section.
