I know this is old news but I fished there twice about five years ago. If it is the same now the ramp is difficult and you cannot use a gas powered motor. I used a bass buster. The lake looked great and promising with fish popping the top and bait fish everywhere. I took two different people with me and we fished several hours both time and did not even get a bite either time. It's a beautiful little lake though.

How many acres would you say it is?

according to TPWD it is 170 acres.

I found this article that says 700 acres and I am thinking it is a typo. It may provide you with some good info.

170 is more accurate than 700. You need a 4-wheel drive to launch a bigger boat. I always fished out of a bass buster or john boat. We would go past the ramp and put in where the timber starts.

The southeast corner of the dam holds some bigger fish but we have always done better in the timber for numbers. Fish the point directly across from the ramp.

Cranks and SB in the timber and t-rigged worms on the point and by the dam. I have actually used all three everywhere.

Ramp is horrible and the road can be worse when it rains.
You may need a high lift 4x4 to get in!

One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!
