Decided to try the morning crappie on Proctor and caught a limit with only two throwbacks. Great morning for a couple of hours of fishing. Caught on white jig in 13-15'. Very light bite and had to pay attention, many would just "pick" it up. Size was smaller than usual but who is griping!

Hey Geaduck, I been thinkin about tryin out Proctor. I hear it is a really good crappie lake I live in Ft. Worth. Can you give a couple pointers on what kind of structure? Thanks.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I started catching on a jig with a red hook (just what i had). Worked great, but after the 10th fish, the red paint was gone! Still caught them though! So does red hook help? Kind of doubt it this morning.

some say red works better....I use'em with minnows and jigs. I cant post pics of that many crappie like you but I can say they work.
