Does anyone crappie fish R-C in the winter?
Do they go deep like Fork or move up the creeks?
Or do they scatter out in the wooded areas?

A little of both sasquatch. I've caught a few on the same deep pattern as Fork, but not quite the numbers. Bridges and timber on the creek drops and points are a good place to start. The creek fishing on RC is as good as it gets. You just have to find the right creeks and hit them at the right time. Get a map and work the creeks on the north side of the lake first and look for that 56-58 degree mark and the full moon to get'em at their hottest!

I've always done good on Aquilla,Fork,Arlington,Lavon...but I've never seen crappie stack up in any numbers on R-C.

Yeah, me neither. At least not on the deep patterns. I fish Lake Limestone most of the year, but I'm telling ya, RC creeks can be awsome in the spring! I'll be starting my weekly checks this weekend. They should turn on fairly soon. I'll post when they do.

I'm going tomorrow. I've got a couple places to try but I just ate all my fish last Friday and need to target about 10-15 big sandies to re-stock with.

don't know about a barge either. if you really want to stock up on sandies try 287 bridge at night. it's unbelievable and usually nobody out there during the week. greenlight

There is a really nice marina near 287 that has a relatively new fishing pier. I think it's covered. I don't remember the name, but it's on the south/west side of the 287 bridge near the Long Arm branch. Just take 287 east from Corsicana and it should be just about the last road on the right before the bridge. You might find the name on the internet. I haven't heard anything about the fishing, but it looked like a pretty nice place. If I hear anything about it, I'll post. Good Luck!

Well, it seems Southport Marina has a no outside wall baited fishing barge, which is the place Spaz is telling about. Here is their link
http://www.rc-fishing.com/index.asp?inc=marinas
There is a picture of the barge on their Marina page. Other than this info, I don't know about the fishing at the barge. It does look cold though.
Please try it and let us know.
