What is the fastest amount of time that you have been able to catch a limit(25) Crappie.
For me it would have to be 7 hours. Is this fast or slow. I have heard of people doing it in less than an hour, but I have never seen it in person. So what is your time?

Probably less than one hour for one limit...two years ago John Varner and I pulled up to a dock to fish it and the owner came out saying his grand-daughters were there and wanted to go swimming so we moved to another dock not too far away. We caught about 45-50 keeper crappie off that one dock in about 2-1/2 hours. At one point we were catching them on every shot under it so I know we had one limit in the boat in less than an hour easy.

You were rewarded for lettin them girls go swimming and cool off a bit. Good things happen to those that are respectful.

Easy for me. The day I discovered the "Super" dock I caught 25 fish in the first 25 casts (about 15 Min) and another 100 in the next 90 min. Had to leave with them hitting every cast. 125 big Crappie in two hours, all released, my best two hours ever.

Fished a dock with Duck_Jerky one time and we were haulin em in on EVERY cast too! We fished till we were tired, that's for sure. We had a limit in no time - less than 45 minutes probably - coulda caught 100 an hour I'll bet

fishing the spawn here on CC. Cant say where because its one of my secret places. Its always very very good for 3-5 days in a row weather permitting. The best was 75 keeper crappie 3 limits as fast as you could cast and pull them in. Every year since then I always look for them to move onto this spot. This year I got 3 days on it before the weather changed. The first day they moved in I had a customer with me. We caught his limit before the sun got all the way up. We went back to the marina and got ice to put them on. Then went back caught another limit in about an hour, released them all. Left there and went catfish fishing under the birds. It was a good day! The next two days were good enough to get limits but not as fast. I've seen them come this fast on docks and the bridge also. Its not the normal thing but it does happen if your lucky!

Best I had was fishing a pond that connected to Cedar Creek when water was up. I caught 25 crappie and about that many big bream in about 1 1/2 hrs. Just about every cast. Makes you not want to leave on days like that because you never know when it will happen again.
Drop it in front of them and they will eat it!!!

Well as far as a personal best about 1 hour and 20 minutes.... Then I do remember myself and Mr. Paty catching 2 limits in about 2 hours.... Also there was the time when myself, Mr. Paty, and Mr. Skinner fished Grapevine (which by the way has no crappie) I watched the masters catch a limit I know (even with all the ribbing ) in about 20 to 30 minutes..... There have been numerous times when fishing with others ( Jeff Schiller, Brian Carter, Jim Wetzel just to name a few ) that limits were caught but I never thought about timing the limit catching.... Just goes to show ya JIGUM JIGS CATCH FISH Matthew

A couple of years ago, my self and 2 friends were at CC. Seems that day I could do no wrong. Of the 3 man limit caught from 8-11 a.m. I caught 70. I could thow a jig over my shoulder that day and catch fish. We fished docks and bridges that day, moving around quite a bit. I showd picks of those fish, they covered the back of his champion 201. Ernest taught me the basics, and from there I have caught some nice limits. Some really big fish too. And very few came from the Super Dock. None on that particular day. I do remember a certain hot late August day, that Eric and Scooby took me to a dock, and I think I caught a limit in about 30 mins. They didn't do very well. I think it had something to do with boat positioning. They wanted to be in the shade I nearly heat stroked that day and Scooby's boat had to be towed. Some creeks I've gotten on the crapppie on days just after they closed the gates and actually had crappie hit my jig just as it hit the water and come out of the water like a bass. I caught 20 of the biggest crappie I ever caught in about 45 mins. That was in january from my tube. Thanks again Ernest for what you taught me.
