Went out to the barge at Lynn Creek tonight and saw people pulling in crappie. Too bad I left my rod and reels at home. Was very surprise that the crappie I saw were all keepers. Are the crappir trying to get bigger at JP?

There have always been 1.7 range crappie on the lake. The barges are doing well this year. I believe the leader in the marathon is 1.88 at this time.

Dang it. I have gone out there four weeks in a row. I have caught 2 fish in that time. Went Saturday and no one was catching anything.

the crappie have seemed to get bigger every year. 2 years ago all i caught were joe pool specials. i think it was a 10 to 1 ratio. 10 specials to 1 keeper.
 Take a kid Fishing the memories will last you and them a lifetime.

Last spring, I fished the barge 4 to 5 times a week and was catching alot of the JP specials. Maybe every now and then I would catch a keeper. I was alot of fun but I was looking for the big ones. Im going to try tonight and see how it goes. Hopefully, I can catch a few fat ones
