Just wanted to say thanks to all that did not bash me for winning the red river media. To set things straight I did fish 3 of the qualifing toutnaments with my partner and he fished 3 by himself. I quess the main point that I have is no one said a word last year when I fished the championship on the Pearl River and did not even make a check , but they get their feelings hurt when I won one the next year. As for media bass needing to change their rules to prevent someone from fishing their events because they are a pro sounds like a excuss for being a bad loser. I can promise all of you that in this sport we will all be losers more than we will be winners regardless of the event. This tournament to me is no different than a elite event or the classic, the man with the most weight WINS. Thanks for all of your support and good luck in all of your upcoming events. I really enjoyed meeting some of you at the red river event and wish you all well.

Most of the people on this forum relish the chance to pit their skills against the best in the sport. After all, it's no accident that Texas is so well represented on the Elite Series, they cut their teeth in the sport against the fiercest competitors in the nation on the tournament trails here locally.

if we all fished against our own caliber, we would never excel. I welcome and cherish the opportunity to fish against the best. It makes me go out and work that much harder, and continue working on new skills long after the tourney is over. I can say I have beaten another pro on his home lake that feels good

I fish a lot of tournaments on Eagle Mountain Lake and we have our fair share of competition. On any given day we may have Brian Clark, Chad Griffin, Cory Waldrop, and a lot of other less recognizable but equally tough competitors. I'm glad to have them any time they want to come, if I win out there I know I've done something. Come on and join us next time your in town we would love to have you!!!
