Keep the gates at richland closed till after this weekend. The weather is enough but gates open to much!!!!!!!!!

Last time I looked this morning it was still about .5' low but I also talked to my wife at about 1000 and she said it has rained all morning hard in Red Oak so more water is headed south....

Heard from the grapevine that the gates will be opened starting Wed. running til...whenever...sigh...I hope this won't be true, but it is more thank likely with this much rain...
We might have seven 10.5" crappie making the top 5

Yesterday Chambers Creek below Bardwell was in flood and headed to the lake. I went over Chambers on I45 yesterday evening and it was coming out of the banks and looked like chocolate milk. We've had about three more inches since daylight so you betcha the gates will be open and blaring.

Rained plenty in my area, between Red Oak and Waxahachie. Red Oak creek was flooded behind my house, pinned us in this morning. I live on a cul-de-sac street so one way in and one out, water was over the road and rushing fast. Good thing they cleaned out the creek under 813 a few weeks ago. There was a huge blockage, lots of BIG trees clogging up the works. My property is standing in water in all the low places and the creek is raging.

I hope they keep them closed too for you guys. I also hope they get CC back to normal and close the gates by this weekend.

Those gates will be open by Friday. They never seem to let that lake get 1" over pool without the gates opening up.

RC is not a flood control lake so if its high they start flushing fast gates will open soon. Hope I'm wrong!!!!

I love a challenge ...gates open or closed. Tough fishing means everyone has a chance ...be sure to wear your lucky undie and don't step on any cracks
