Legends resale values are low but what isn't in our current economy? I have fished from both and both are really good boats. If your could put a real motor on a Skeeter I would seriously consider getting one.LOL. Don't shoot me for that.

I just got back from the factory at midway arkansas and watched the process a Legend boat being made. Unmatched quality. These boats are custom made to order. I fish Texoma at least 3-4 times a week no matter the weather. My Legend gets me where I need to go and back comfortably. I have fished out of a skeeter for a long time and there is no comparison for me. Im not really sure how these boats are even being compared in ride... My 211 will run in the mid 70s tournament loaded so the performance is there too. PM me and I would be happy to let you test drive mine or a new one from BlackBeard Marine. Test drive a Skeeter and then a Legend and then decide which one is best for you.

Both are good boats, but to bestow "unmatched quality" on Legend is at best a stretch. There a number of boats out there that equal or exceed Legend in fit, finish, and overall quality.

Fished a tourney in a 20i and about jarred the teeth out of my head, a very rough boat but very fishable. I have also fished in an alpha 211 legend and was thouroughly impressed by its ride and general fishability. Plus there is the mercury motor you can get with the legend.

I owned a ZX300 before my Triton. It was fine, just a little slow for how it was powered. If Skeeter would rig up with Mercury's, I have to say that the boating industry would be in trouble, because they would flat out take over. I take out so many clients that, for whatever reason, will not own a Yamaha. Personally, I would - why not?? A 20 i-class with a 250 pro xs would be unreal. As far as your question, I would have to say they are both great boats. Unless you are filthy rich, I would buy a boat strictly on the GREAT price I got from a dealer. Money talks and bull crud walks in my opinion. If you ever want an honest opinion during your boat buying process, please feel free to give me a call.

Chevy or Ford. Same question. You might prefer a light ride or a heavy ride. Nobody can tell you what you like. Ride in both and then choose. Also, realize that the different Skeeter models ride A WHOLE LOT DIFFERENTLY!!!! So you really are looking at 3 different boats. And then you have to consider the MONEY! They are all quality boats and each has good points. Go for a test drive and then let the wife/girlfriend decide!

I have owned both and I think both are well made and run and fish well. Its a hard decision and one you will have to make based on what fits you better. There are some noted differences especially in fishing from them on windy days. Don't put so much emphasis on what others say about the ride. That is so subjective and depends solely on driver ability. Try them both and buy what fits you best. I did not own the Legend long and sold it to go back into another Skeeter as I came out of a Skeeter when I bought it. Long story short I am a Skeeter kind of guy I guess but I would not be honest if I said Legend was not a damn fine boat.

Used boats of both brands have stayed here on the board for several months this year. There was an 09 Skeeter that stayed here from March until July or August and sold for a fraction of the new price. I think that is a reflection of the economy and not the demand for the boats.
The Legend looks to have better attention to detail to me than the Skeeter. Ive fished out of a Skeeter for the last 3 months and noticed minor issues that didnt seem to fit right.
However, there is one draw back to the Legend that made me change my mind on which brand I would buy next. When you look at a top view of both boats the widest point on the Legend is at the very back where it doesnt do you any good.
The widest point on the Skeeter is on the front deck plenty of room for two to fish up there if necessary kind of crowded on the front deck of the Legend under the same conditions.

Also the best advice I can honestly give is to RUN from the posts that say ___________ is the best brand ,period!
If that is the best advice they have then it will be biased.
