They are awesome rods for the price. I am sure that your friend got the worm/jig rod. It is a little on the heavy side. All the others feel great...Don't pay more than $89 dollars for the rods...If a place has them for $99 see if they will price match the rest of the retailers, or just get one off the internet and don't pay tax...I wasn't going to mention this since I know some of the guys that work in the fishing department... but I was real dissapointed when I saw them for $99 at Gander Mountain in Tyler the other day. I was planning on buying a couple more from them, but I am not paying for the 12% price hike! I haven't checked to see if they will price match yet though...

I bought the crankin stick 2 weeks ago and have landed 4 DD22 fish at fork with it. I really like it, I don't see where someone would say its heavy. I have the S-glass which would be the heavier rod of that series and it is really light, sensitive, and forgiving when i got a fish on.

Dang... $88 at crucial tackel with free shipping. Not a bad deal at all. Anyone tried any of the spinning rods?

I have the Carolina Rig model, and LOVE it. Rough fit and finish, but it works great. I'm a Modern Human Being, so the weight of the rod, well any rod, doesn't bother me.
I have it paired with a 50th Anniversary TD Zillion and lemme tell you what, this thing is a rocket launcher!
It's very sensitive for what I paid. I don't care for the guides and may get them replaced over winter. All in all I'd rate this rod at 6 on a 1-10. It's surprisingly good for the money.
I will pick up a few more after I get a boat. Also, because I'm a Man, I couldn't care less what people think of my choice of fishing rod color, No one else should either.
Holy damnit, that's a fat girl. ~My Dad, 2009.
