spam alert AND the trick he describes is against the Texas Parks and Wildlife rules. (for Texas lakes of course) Here is the reg page: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/fish/general_rules/Tagging Fish - It is unlawful to release into the public waters of this state a fish with a device or substance implanted or attached that is designed, constructed or adapted to produce an audible, visual or electronic signal used to monitor, track, follow, or in any manner aid in the location of the released fish. It is legal to place an identification tag on the exterior of a fish and release this fish back into public waters. Caution is advised as use of these tags can damage fish. Everyone has an angle to work! Just go fish and have fun!!!
I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

theres nothing new in this old world.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Heh...I had no idea it was illegal. Interesting. The guy sent me another tactic, I can't see how it's illegal. 2 rods. On one you put on a minnow but you clip the bottom part of his tail fin with nail clippers. The on the other you have a spinner and you slowly reel it right towards your "injured" minnow. Supposedly it looks like a rival fish going for the injued bait and creates a bite situation. Anyone try something similar? Here's where I got it. http://www.crappiefishingtricks.com/reports/2-clipped-fin-con_new.htmlJust trying to run this buy you guys before I waste my time trying things.

Take the money that you would be wasting on this site and hire one of the guides on the forum and learn how to find and catch crappie. This would be the only short cut I would use.
