I have been fishing Lake Fork for Crappie, but thought I would ask about Lavon since I only live about 10 miles away. Does anyone know where to go? I am familiar with the lake, been there many times, just have not caught very much. Been out in front of the spillway and around the island. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bud

I fished last Saturday and they were slow. We have been doing good trolling in 25-35' around the island and the dam. A few fish are being caught in the boat slips at Collin Park and East Fork. Jerry www.JerryHan****Outdoors.com

Are they letting us get close to the Lavon dam these days? I used to catch some fair Crappie in and around the rip rap there.
He leadeth me beside still waters.

I fish mainly minnows, but have jigs if needed. I have been trying the cannonball theory lately at Fork, and it has produced good results. Bite is real soft and you don't know you have them until you lift it back up. Next time I go out, I will try around Collin park and see what happens. Just thought I could fit a few hours more in fishing instead of driving.

I assume "collin Park" means boatslips? I know of fish being caught in there. If this wind ever quits blowing I'll get back on them in deep water. Jerry www.JerryHan****Outdoors.com
