Sorry to disappoint you guys with all my success as of late, I almost hate to mention that I caught 12 on Friday and another 9 on Sun. after church. Couldn't fish Sat., had to work, but am thinking about hitting it again today or tommorrow afternoons. That'll be me in the white Bronco and in da tube on the first point east of boat ramp. Fish are holding in the 10 - 12 foot range.GOOD LUCK!!!!!
God willin', I'm fishin.

Ramp gets so flat down low that we had to back way out to get the boat off. Pushed and shoved some. I was afraid to back out too far because I know there is about a 1 foot dead drop at the end of the concrete as could be seen before the last good fill. Loading was much easier. Used big motor to push boat up on trailer.
We fished around island and on first point east of ramp like Heavy BKG said. Fished from 10 to 15 feet along the point with no luck. Maybe the crappie move off the point at night.
Still mad though. Have not been skunked in a long time.
Glad I'm in the office today. Later the wind is supposed to get up to a little breeze with the front moving in. (About 55 to 60 mph according to my weatherman.)

Fished a little tues. afternoon with a little success. Caught 6 keepers in about 2&1/2 hours. I'm probably not gonna go again till Sat. morning and try and fish the better part of the day.Wind was supposed to be a bugger today and tommorrow and I had to opt out on some overdue chores around the house. I just wish we had a little stable weather and I think you could be picking 'em up in the brush at bankside. Fish seem to be on the verge of going into a spawning mode, eating up and staging towards the bank. Hang in there!! You just gotta keep on keeping on!!
God willin', I'm fishin.

Way to go Brian! I'll be out there tomorrow morning with my Dad. If you get out there tomorrow after church, look for the big pontoon with the bald guy on it! That will be us.

Got skunked last Sunday. Wind was blowing about 20-25 mph, lake was choppy, fish were hiding.

What I honestly think is: Heavy BKG should notify us when he is going so we can join in and learn. It is NOT that I do not trust him I do trust him, I have like ketchum25 and Mike Chamberse gone screamin' up there to be skunked, it gets tiresome!
Thanks and Gig'em, Mark Fairchild

Okay,Guys, my next full day of JBT fishing is probably gonna be Monday, the 13th. I have to work Sat. and will be busy Sunday all day long. But I did go this past Sunday afternoon and caught 11 BIG crappie and then yesterday afternoon caught 6 more. Please don't hesitate to give me a call at work (432)267-1165 and we'll work out the details on a trip. I love to have an excuse to take off a little early and go to the lake.Just bought a new tube and I need to break it in real good!!!
God willin', I'm fishin.

Yes, I did!!! I fished from about 9 till 3:30 and ended up with 14. All were about 14" and all were caught on black/chartruese in about 13' of water around the points east of the boat ramp.Had a great day, started off a little chilly, but warmed after 1 pm.Lost 3 at the surface right at da tube, but they were biting really soft. Am thinking about tommorrow afternoon and then early on Sat. morning if anyone feels up to it?. I know for sure I'll be there Sat. morn. at daybreak.
God willin', I'm fishin.

Mark, No, I don't wear a wetsuit, just waders over multiple layers of clothes. And I did go last night and fished all night.Man, you talk about a beautiful night. Still winds, clear skies, multiple falling stars(heck of a meteor shower),and a BIG OLE BLUE CAT!!!!! My personal best for blues fell at about 10:40 pm last night with a 33# on cut shad.Measured 37" long and 26" girth. Caught a 5#er at about 2 this morning. Couldn't find the crappie on the point, so I headed home early @ 10:30 to show off the prize!!!!ENJOY!!!!!!!
God willin', I'm fishin.
