Took my daughter with me crappie fishing at RR on Sat. She's not all that jazzed on fishin' but she figured she'd give it a try! (BTW, I found out that 5:00am and 15 yr old sophomore cheerleaders dont mix well too!) So anyway, very first drop of the morning and BANG!! Didnt know what the heck I had on the ole 12' crappie rod armed with a double jig rig laced with, of course, crappie nibbles but it was doubled over BIGTIME! Big ole LMB right at sun up on a brush pile within site of a bass tournament that was leaving the dock at Jordan ramp! Didnt weigh her but I'm guessin 9 lbs or so ... of course, released to fight another day.   Ended up with around 15 keepers off the brush piles, lots of dinks but like Gracyn said, I guess they have to eat too! Also made another fishing buddy as we had a BLAST together! GREAT FUN !!

Great story and pics. I love fishing with all my kids, but fishing with my daughter is my favorite (just don't tell the boys). Congrats to your daughter on the hawg.

That's wonderful but I'd definitely call that a ten-pounder. Looked like it had been on the classic bass-gorging-feeding frenzy by the looks of that belly. Great pic...keep it for the retirement years! And you're right, how'd such an ugly mug create such a gorgeous little thing (Just clowning, again, great pic; I'm referring to you two)!

That fish is every bit of 10 lbs...no doubt about it. Some guys fish their whole life for something like that.....congrats!!!
