What difference does it make if its a tourney or not....We have all put fish in our livewells to either get pics of them, go weigh em in, or take them home and eat em. Either way you've done the same thing he did. You put them in your livewell to go weigh em in and then release them causing just as much harm to them as he might have. What about the fish you caught 30 minutes into the tournament that you kept in your livewell ALL DAY LONG just to go weigh em in and release them? As long as he has a fishing licesne and caught the fish legally and held onto it legally its up to him what he wants to do with it...period. Its senseless for you to come on here, public forum or not, and make a comment on the guy's fish that he wants to brag about a little....It isn't your lake or your fish so mind your business and like everyone's mama said growing up, if you ain't got anything nice to say keep your friggen mouth shut! Nice fish dude! Next time hold it correctly will ya!! hahaha j/k of course. #1, this wasn't really that big of a deal to me. I just made a little comment and you people blew it out of proportion. It was more of slight troll attempt than anything. I was gonna let it go until some retard attacked me over it. Albeit, on the internet. Serious Business! Punch them keys like you mean it. #2, i still haven't stated anything but facts. #3, if you haven't figured it out yet, I don't really fish tournaments. I might some in the future. Just to take some of you's moneys of course. #4, the 3 giants being killed on Choke that day still irks me. I don't feel like arguing this with anybody so I will leave it at that. #5, Nice fish, how long was she? #6, I still don't like the idea of the slot being dropped if you haven't figured that out yet either. Only time will tell what will happen to the lake. the end.

As the "retard" who attacked you I might add a few things. What I said has been repeated over and over you just dont seem to get it. Does that make all of them retards or you a retard? Secondly, trolling is against the rules and the mods should shut you down, you even admitted it. The slots been dropped, you cant change it so why use Joels GREAT photo thread to vent. You were wrong and instead of just letting it go you just kept prodding the issue. And for that you get the "birdie" from me.

if it wasn't that big of a deal then you wouldnt have said anything. Youre rude comment, if made in person, would've prolly caused a physical altercation with the man so its a good thing you typed it like you meant it instead of openin your mouth in person. "I don't really fish tournaments" means to me you still fish them so you are just as guilty as everyone else is and a hypocrit now. I agree, it was a nice fish. Sorry you don't agree with the slot being dropped....unfortunately it wasn't up to the ole mighty Adam from Pilot Point.

Your right, maybe I should have sent it in PM. But I still feel like I should have told him that.
Too many people "mind their own business" these days. If you don't say how you feel how will people know? He might not have thought about endangering the fish. I fish Ray Roberts nearly daily in the spring and summer and am pretty passionate about the lake. We all agree it needs help, but killing 8lbers isn't going to help it. I'm not insinuating he killed the fish, but it simply has a higher death rate when hauled around in the livewell than if he immediately released it.
I never intended to steal Mr. Rich's thunder. I just wanted to enlighten him on how some of us feel about the subject. Which I think I succeeded in doing. With more people than just him. Will he remember his camera next time? I don't know and don't really care, but maybe this thread will help. If not oh well.
mo-sin, my retard comment was only a direct reply to the "post wrecking POS". Nothing more.
Louie, I have fished 2 tourneys in my life. Both were ran horribly and I decided it probably wasn't for me. If I had been at the marina when he brought it in we would have had a discussion about it just like here, except probably less heated and fewer people would be involved.

I think for the next year from today I'm going to eat every eight pound fish and above that I catch from Roberts. I'll be sure and post pics of them being cleaned, too. I'd hate for it to die from a ten minute ride in the livewell and become turtle food. If it's going to die I better eat it.

GREAT fish joel, glad to see someone is catching em. as for the post by adam p, it was bashing when you said "yeah but hate to see people are needlessly hauling them around in their livewells now". you werent there and didnt know how far it rode, it was a legal catch hence his fish to "haul" and if you had come up to me at a ramp and commented in the negative on me keeping a fish you would be told where to put your comment (and the sun dont shine there). as far as whats wrong with the country today I agree, people need to be more proactive but there is a time and place for everything and sometimes its better to keep your opinions to yourself. AGAIN JOEL GREAT FISH AND POST MORE OF THE NEXT ONE.
