I was suppose to fly to TPA this morning for two days of crappie fishin'. Well I fly standby and all the flights were oversold. Looks bad all day.
Hopefully I will make it in tomorrow sometime and beable to fish Sunday.
All I hear is that they have been killing the crappie and bass every day this week on jigs and now I can't get there....grrrrr

Well if I make it out and catch some fish I'll be sure to report back with some pics.

Well I made it in yesterday and caught fish this morning before the front moved in. After that they turned off.
Got 13 "specks" from nine to noon plus a big bluegill, shiner, and a bowfin. All on white/white/chartreuse. They were on floating weed lines in 3 ft of water. If you can believe it...no one here seems to jig fish.
Saw some gators, hog tracks, deer, and lots of other critters.
Never fails that I come to town and this fishing slows down.
Will post up some pics tomorrow if I make it back to DFW.

maybe it will get better soon alan . did you see any wild horses ? i mean any mustangs ? w/r/j
