 What lure you had high hopes for that didnt pan out this season ?

For me , it was the Spro BBZ SHAD FLOATER. It looked so good in the water -heck I wanted to bite it. The action is so good -just couldnt get a hit.

That Bill Dance bait I think it is called the Dancin' El. Its a small crank with a long tail.
I have tossed it a few times thinking this thing has some great action! But I have caught NOTHING on it. I was even tossing it during a good day of catching. My fishing partner was catching fish left and right on a crank and I still could not get a bite!
Any one have any luck with that bait?
Land was created to provide a place for boats to visit!! It is when pirates count their booty that they become mere thieves. ARRRRRR....

All the swimbaits I have bought. But of course you have to put down the worm rod and get them wet to work.

Haven't had it for too long, and haven't thrown it a ton, but for $15 a pop, I was hoping for a bite every other cast.

Swim baits for sure. I did have pretty good success with the Sebile baits, but all others disappointed.

Those snakes they sell on TV for $39.95 / pack of 18. Doug Hannon said they would work.....what gives?

I believe the topwater bite has been a little off on our area lakes and that may have something to do with your catch rate.

Spinnerbaits. Not sure why, but I've caught all of 2 fish on SB this year. Thrown it in the right places (apparently not), at the right time of year (you sure?), and in the right conditions (try again) and couldn't buy a bite.

Jig and Buzzbait. I have not caught any on the buzz and only a few on the jig.
