Ok, I am getting my fill of no keeper fish on Ray Bob and would like to know how to get to Cedar Creek and how far is it to CC vs. RR. from N.E. Loop 820 and I-35. Any help would be appreciated.

It takes me about an hour and 15 minutes. I take I-20 East to 175 South to Kemp then take 275 (?) South to Seven Points then take FM85 East towards Gun Barrel City. There is a free ramp on the bridge. It's about the same distance to Ray Bob and Cedar Creek for me, but I don't live on the North side of Fort Worth. I'm near the Hulen mall area.

I am near Hulen Mall as well and I launch further down the lake and with one stop it is one hour and 40 minutes going 70.

20 to 175 to 274 85 to the brige ramp

WishinFishin,

I travel to both of them and record the mileage. Here goes.

To CC from Davis & 820 - 96 miles
To RR(Isle de Bois park) from Davis & 820 - 53 miles

Its about an hour and 15 minutes for me also to either RR or CC. I live in SE Arlington and my basic route to CC is 287 or I45 to Ennis and 85 E to Seven Points. As stated in a previous reply there is a free ramp (85 aka 334) and another on the south end ... 198 bridge near the dam. I promise you there will be no more small crappie blues sung on CC.

OK, well I guess I need to decide how much them crappies are worth to me huh ?!! Appreciate the info from all who replied.
.
Is there a State Park to camp at on CC? If so I will book a long weekend in the not so distant future and try and fill my freezer w/ cc crappie.
.
Thanks Again for the info and input!!

WishinFishin,
Don't know where to camp on Cedar Creek though I think there are some places, but I would camp at Purtis Creek State Park. It's a nice place to camp and is not far from Cedar Creek

You can camp at Harbour Light Marina. It has a launch there and is very near to the good fishing on the NORTH end of the lake... laugh

Wishinfishin -

Got an extra bedroom here at the house in Terrell, only 40 miles from CC lake, Don's Port Marina. Welcome to camp here anytime, just let me know. Same offer stands for Shadbury, et al....even got a cleaning station here...
