What oh what will I ever do with this pile of junk. laugh laugh
I'm thinking since there are about 100 20' peices of 1/2" I will make the milk-jug/tree shaped structure, and with the 2-1/2" stuff I might be able to make the tradtional crappie condo type structure. What do ya think?

Meaning you take the larger pipe and make it the middle section. You take the smaller pieces and make X's all the way down the pipe. Looks like a military stockade when you are done. Then you can tie ona couple Xmas tress under the bottom X along with your weight. Get some empty planter buckets from a plant store and put them on the ends of the top X's. Gives some shade.

I use a big drill with a 1/2" hole saw for the X's. Once they hit the bottom and a little algae grows, they will be stuck in the cros pipes and wont come out.Weight it down good- but make dropper weights so the bottom X's wont collapse( tie about 2 ft of nylon rope to the weight then to the pvc midsection).

And like you said- the trees in the 5 gallon buckets work good too. I would put both out around each other(about 4 PVC trees around one of the stockades). 2 different types of structure for them to move back and forth on.

well- i tried to make it purty- but it didnt work out....basically have a bunch of X's with a center pvc pipe running down the middle.

If you need some directions as to what areas, not specific locations- (thats for your personal keeping)- On lake Benbrook. let me know. I will tell you where I catch the majority of my fish(crappie). Theres about 4 major areas that hold crappie year round. ANd I have brush piles in those areas that produce very well.( And theres still room for more without anyone finding them)

That stuff would not and I repeat not make good crappie structure. Don't even think about it! In fact I'll offer to haul it off for free smile

Well I have to wait until deer season is over before any progress can begin. Then if I could ever find the crappie, I could start droping them some new homes. Thanks for the ideas Skeeter.
