I tried to go out to the San Gabriel River (Tejas camp) yesterday with a kayak. I'd never been there before and there was no freaking way I was riding a kayak down that! Boy was it flowing. I would certainly recommend heading to one of the other parks. Wish I could help more, but I've never fished there before either and yesterday was supposed to be my first time! Wish I woulda just went over to Granger. Only had directions on getting to where I was going, didn't want to cruise some random CR and get lost so I headed back and just fished Brushy Creek. Wish I woulda just turned right on 29 and drove on out to Buchanan or Inks..oh well, 2 days until Sat, give it another go.

I cant imagine putting a kayak in there for a while. As long as we dont get blown out with rain though, the next couple of months should be some great fishing. Jmanatex? I assume you work at manatex I fish with a bunch of guys that work there.
