Same great features of the 900 series but with a price between the 700 and 900 series. Will sell for $1499.

A video port and an ethernet port, very nice that expands the possibilities greatly for the future. I can think of quite a few uses for those right away. I'm thinking about getting a 32" plasma TV for the boat, you don't have to spill the beans, but wink if I 'might' be able to hook it up wink

networking unit together to allow them to share transducers, accessories, maps etc. It will replace the Interlink.

Also opens up future possibilities on the home network? It would be nice to be able to plug it into my hub at the house to avoid having to do the memory card swap from the unit to the USB reader.

Lowrance has the Down Scan coming out also. I would wait and see the difference between Lowrance and Humminbird before saying either is "simply the best".

I wouldn't wait. It is a fact already in my book that Humminbird is Simply Clearly Better. The technology is already proven by Humminbird. Service is awesome IF you ever need it too.

But not for their downscan or Side whatever they call it. It is $600, right?

The $600(that may not be the price. Nobody knows for sure) is for the hardware. Lowrance already has the ethernet(for waypoints and sonar sharing). The $600 is for the imaging transducer, another ethernet cable, and the black box. The black box is going to allow structure scan sharing for up to 3 HDS units.

Lowrance and HB both have great products. You have to choose which one fit's your needs/wants. Yes, right now Lowrance is having support problems. Atleast that is the talk. I have not had a problem with them or my units.
