It don't take much contact with the mouth of a Wahoo or Kingfish to make you bleed. I got bit by a good king years ago in the calf. In Hawaii the Wahoo is called the Ono for a reason.

My buddy Johhny got stuck not once, but twice, deep on his hand with a good size gafftop off a pier in Galveston... We were teenagers; 6 or 7 of us there, and I can distinctly remember Johnny holding his hand saying "get a towel" and the reply was something like "why are you wasting that blood, get your hand over the pier and start chumming for sharks dude"

Ouch....Hope it heals ok. I use to always pour paint thinner on my cuts. If you can stand the stinging at first, it will never be sore.
