Speakers, Ear Plugs Oh MY!!!!!
I though fishing was "to get away from all the noise and bustle of the world"
It seems to me that the speakers would send out vibrations through the hull of the boat and if the fish don't like Metallica you are screwed!!!

I use a portable battery powered speaker on mine for my mp3. Fits in the cupholder. I keep it pretty low and the fish don't seem to mind.

You can't hear it underwater.

Ok got the alum pontoon at my house, tied to the dock.. Went out there after work to do some fishing. Boat was half way under the water.. Guess the pontoons are leaking.. Tried pulling it by hand... Water at 7lbs per gallon I guess you can guess it wouldn't budge. Ended up losing my battery charger into the lake.. Anyone have a clue how I can pull it out..
Here at a couple problems... At waters edge there is atleast 1 ft rise from water to land.. the pontoons front edge's keep digging into the ground before lifting up onto.. Second problem is I'm not sure I have enough land area(depth) to be able to pull the pontoons 100% out of the water.. They are at least 10ft long and I might have a total of 10 ft to the fence.
I was thinking of getting a comealong and using it but again I only have the 10 ft or so to fence that the comealone itself would be nearly 2 ft of that distance..
I only rent so can't do a lot of changes to the dock, etc to get boat up. So dang sure can't afford or willing to buy one of those boat floaters K.D. posted above(they run $1200 and up)..
Any ideas???

Sounds like a real problem. What are you attaching the come along to? Do you have a friend with a wench on a truck or can you get a chain or cable down to it?

Hi. New to the forum but have been lurking for awhile. Really like the durability factor of your new ride. I have owned similar boats from way back, like the water wagon which were not as durable. Downside from my experience with this type are: Weight transporting to non-ramp launch point, blunt ends take more energy to paddle or motor along. Using a trailer won't always get to a non- ramp launch point, plus you have trailer maintainence and still have to load equipment to keep it from bouncing or blowing out. An inflatable pontoon can be strapped to the top of any car with ratchet straps, so you don't need a pickup or trailer. You might try rear flip down boat wheels which will minimize much of the launch and loading/unloading/dragging issues. Hope this helps. Porta I have no interest in a trolling motor. Believe me when I say I've had years of experience with these types of boats. If I wanted to lug a trolling motor and battery back and forth from the truck to the boat I'd have a bassbuster. I've had a few of those also. Without a trailer you have to load the boat in the truck then put all your gear in the boat. When you get to the lake you have to empty the boat of the gear, unload the boat and drag it to the water. Then you carry all your gear to the boat and hook everything up. When you get done fishing you have to empty the boat to make it light enough to lift into the back of the truck, then put all the stuff back into the boat. At least with this one I was smart enough to use a trailer!

Your post is RE: BassFever, so I'm not sure if you're asking about my kick boat or BassFever's pontoon. If you're asking about mine, follow this link.

Sure, I've got opinions. I haven't owned the Sun Dolphin but at that price it's a steal. I recall an article written a couple of years back about the Sun Dolphin. It was regarding a pro angler on the BassMaster tour from Las Vegas that used one on the local lakes. He had it custom built with a few features added that you'd see on a regular bass boat. It had an outboard (5 HP) a trolling motor, battery charger, working livewells and a stand up deck on the front. That boat is exceptionally stable and works great for the purpose you're planning on. My only suggestion is to build a ramp onto your dock to drive the boat up on, just as you see the jet skiers do. I also know they sell some pretty good boat covers for that boat. I'd use it and care for it just like a big boat, right down to keeping it out of the water and covered. Here's a photo of what I'm talking about. Looks like she would float pretty good with those pontoons.

Nice pontoon. I'm planning to purchase a pontoon, fish cat streamer XL-IR or Tahoe fisher. Is it possible for me to lift it up and put on the top of my car (Honda Accord)? Do you fishing with pontoon during winter? Thanks.
