This Flathead Catfish ate a worm meant for a Bass during the Big Bass Splash on Lake Fork. My BBS partner TFF Member Skeeter netted the beast we estimate went around 25#. Tracy has to chase this fish completely around his boat 4 times before we got a net under it.

Congrats out to Tracy Delome for the Big Catfish !

Chain pickeral have been in east Texas lakes for as long as I can remember and I am 60+. If I am not mistaken, which I could well be, I believe they are native to Caddo, the only natural lake in Texas.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

We were fishing one side of the creek and he was going down the opposite bank from us. I look over and see his rod doubled up big time. I hollered at him is that a stump or a fish.. he grunts back Big Fish!

He had a heck of a time with it for the better part of 10 minutes.. took better than 5 minutes to get get it turned and off the bottom. Round and Round the boat he danced.
breakdance

Very nice.

I had one about 5# hit my Yellow Magic during the McDs BBS. I knew right away it wasn't a bass, cause that thing went bananas. Getting the hooks out of him was something else too.
