Don't know that it is any better but try http://www.bing.com/Go to maps then use the aeial and birds eye

Thanks Slim, it does have some shots without clouds where Google Earth has clouds. It seems like the places I'm really wanting to check out on Google Earth have clouds blocking the view.

terraserver.com You have to pay for it though. Been using it for years and never had to pay. You be using a different URL than I. Try this one: http://terraserver-usa.com/
