Went to Lake Guerroro back in the mid '70's. I would imagine we caught well over 100 bass per person per day. Not huge fish, but a lot of 5-6# fish. Actually got tired of catching fish. Those were the days.

I caught 853 bass, lot over 8 lbs., on an unnamed lake last week. Going back next week and plan to bust 1,000. Well, you asked for it!

At fayette county, 3 people 80 fish... exactly 80 took us 45 mins to get from 79 to 80 we didn't catch any under 2 pounds we had a bunch of fives two over 6 and one over 7... that was from sun up until 5:00 we had a nother 3 hours of light but left...(not my decision)

the cousin who went with me had 4 or five days that good or over... best day I know they had on fayette was a day he and a buddy got 2 fish with alton jones there. Alton told him it was his favorite lake to fish... They caught 140 that day, and alton did 70+ by himself

I LOVE that lake

I landed 21 nice size bass from 2 to 3.5 pounds on 22 casts on a community lake in the spring of '96.

I caught them all within a 75 foot section of shoreline near cattails on a purple worm with a white tail.

I am sure I could have caught a hundred that day but had to leave early to take my kids to Chuck E. Cheese.

Not tournament related but fun as heck...

When Fork first opened into the Mid 80's you could tie up to a long treeline in any Major Creek and yo yo retrieve a Rat-L-Trap 6ft deep in 25ft of water. We hooked up every other cast on average. This would go on until you got tired of casting... most were under 16". 100 fish a day for 2 guys was nothing. Once the grass got going that method went away.

When Ray Bob first opened I took a hand painted Glow In The Dark Rat-L-Trap and caught so many I lost count off Cate's Point one night in June of 1992... well into the hundreds and all about 12-13" long. You could catch 100 bass a day out of the tree tops around Wolf Island on Purple yellow tail Tube Jigs and Bubble Gum/ Blue tail Tx Riged Worms.

Bazz fish

Me and My partner got into schooling bass this spring during the shad spawn on the vine and caught 80-90 we had count to about 60 b/c we knew where they were and all we were doin was crankin a Series 3 Wht bait in 4ft of water!! we just followed there fish around!! We lost count at about 60 b/c I caught a 6 08 on a berkley digital and it took mind off the number and just kept catching them!! I ben 90% of those fish were 1 1/2 or less but it was still fun to catch those numbers!! I cant remember the exact number but between the 2 of us we hooked up on something like 20 back-to-back-to-back casts!!! Best Day for number for me!!
