 water coming out?

i noticed the other day that when i tilt up my 1981 140hp evinrude has water coming out of the hole where my throttle cables go into the motor,is this normal to happen when the motor is up?thanks

Sounds like you have a hose leaking under th cowling. Hook it up to the ear muffs and run it with the cowling off and see if you can find a leak somewhere. If not fixed it could cause some electrical problems later on.

I had somthing similar happening to a Yamaha HPDI. Turned out one of my heads had come loose! Just re torqued the head back down, and no more problems!
